OUR CHOIR

Bath Minerva Choir is one of the leading choirs in the city of Bath, with well over one hundred members.

We are a friendly non auditioning choir and welcome singers of all standards, making us an ideal choir to join whether you are just starting out or are a more experienced and confident singer.

Under the inspiring direction of our conductor, Gavin Carr, we take on challenging repertoire and set ourselves the highest standards of performance.

Concerts in the last few years have included Mozart's Requiem, and his Vespers! Rachmaninov's Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, Haydn's Nelson Mass and and evening of Purcell featuring Ode to St. Cecilia.

The choir usually performs two major concerts a year often in the beautiful setting of Bath Abbey, and usually with professional orchestras and soloists, with whom we are truly privileged to perform.

Since 2012 we have also been holding Summer weekend masterclass/workshops.These are open to guest singers as well as choir members and being masterclass/workshops and not concerts, give us a chance to sing something we probably wouldn’t do as a full performance. Our masterclass/ workshops have included Britten’s War Requiem, Tippett’s A Child of our Time, Bach’s B Minor Mass and Monteverdi’s Vespers.
